The Gender Priority Strategy (GEPS) is a pioneering global initiative and chartered organization born from the recognition that gender equality is not merely a matter of fairness, but a moral imperative and prerequisite for sustainable development and lasting peace. We are Women for Women by Women, standing together in Solidarity, Strength, and Substance.
Building on the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, we work strategically to transform the landscape of gender equality through our comprehensive PEARS approach: Policy, Education, Advocacy, Research, and Solutions. We acknowledge that real change has been slow for women and girls worldwide, and that not a single country has achieved true gender equality.
For 30 years, we have been addressing gender issues confronting women across the world from the grassroots. We have traveled locally and globally, speaking, making presentations, advocating for women's rights, and being part of policy formulations. Yet, the solutions to gender issues are yet to be fully realized.
Our girls and younger generations are becoming more disorganized every day, while our middle-aged women are increasingly self-introspective, and our older women are constantly in tears and speechless about the feminization of poverty in the land. We are thus losing our significance, and the time has come for us to bring order to our issues.
We need to stand up for our priorities and drive our Policy, Education, Advocacy, and Research (PEARS) ourselves to Solutions. At GEPS, we are committed to ensuring that our Legacy will be Remembered and our work benefits Generations to come.
GEPS focuses on developing holistic solutions that address:
Policy Development and Implementation: We work with policymakers, institutions, and community leaders to develop and implement gender-responsive policies that create meaningful change. Through careful analysis of existing frameworks and development of new approaches, we help create sustainable policy solutions.
Executive Education Programs: Our certificate programs and training courses equip leaders with knowledge and tools needed to drive gender equality initiatives. We combine theoretical understanding with practical applications, ensuring participants can effectively implement what they learn.
Strategic Advocacy: We engage with governments, community leaders, and international organizations to promote policies and practices that advance women's rights. Our advocacy is grounded in evidence-based approaches and real-world experiences of women across different contexts.
Research and Evidence: We document best practices, analyze trends, and identify emerging opportunities for advancing gender equality. Our research informs all aspects of our work, from policy recommendations to program development.
Solutions Development: We create and implement practical, innovative solutions to complex gender challenges, ensuring sustainable impact and measurable outcomes.
Hunger Solutions Project: Empowering women to lead sustainable food security initiatives in alignment with SDG 2. Starting with FCTA rural communities, we revive women's traditional role in food security for a hunger-free future.
GEPS Tool-Kit: Our comprehensive advocacy pack presented at the UN Post-30 Years Beijing Women Conference, providing practical resources for advancing gender priorities globally.
Chartered Institute for Gender Priority Strategy USA: Our official chartered organization advancing gender equality through institutional excellence and professional development.
Gender World Initiative: A global platform connecting gender advocates, sharing best practices, and coordinating international efforts for women's advancement.
International Days Observance: Strategic participation in global commemorations like ECOWAS Day, strengthening partnerships and regional cooperation for gender equality.
GEPS is led by distinguished global leaders committed to advancing gender equality:
Our governing council includes distinguished leaders such as H.E Ann Marie Davis (First Lady of Bahamas), H.E Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam Yohannes (Permanent Representative to UN for Eritrea), Dr Padmini Murthy, H.E Dr Demetria Sherman, and other committed advocates.
We support and promote the agenda of UN Women, implement the agreed conclusions of the Commission on Status of Women, and work in partnership with governments, civil society organizations, and international bodies to create systemic change for women globally.
Whether you are a policymaker, researcher, advocate, community leader, or passionate about gender equality, GEPS welcomes you. Together, we can transform gender priorities into concrete solutions for a more equitable future.
