Gender Priority Strategy (GEPS) has officially launched its groundbreaking Hunger Solutions initiative, a global campaign aimed at empowering women to lead the fight against hunger in their communities. In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 2, this project revives women's traditional role as champions of food security.
For generations, women have been at the heart of food security—farming, trading, and ensuring their families never went hungry. The Hunger Solutions project provides women with resources, support, and opportunities needed to restore this legacy, even in challenging times. This initiative goes beyond food distribution; it addresses human satisfaction, health, and overall well-being.
The pilot program has begun in FCTA rural communities, where women are receiving agricultural training, resource mobilization support, and community organization tools. Early results show increased food production, improved nutrition, and strengthened economic independence among participating women.
GEPS invites global partners, donors, and supporters to join this movement. Through our comprehensive PEARS framework—Policy, Education, Advocacy, Research, and Solutions—we are creating sustainable pathways to end hunger while empowering women as agents of change in their communities.
